1. ASSUMPTION OF RISK

I understand that participating in a virtual reality (VR) escape room experience involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

• Dizziness, motion sickness, nausea, or disorientation

• Loss of balance or falls

• Eye strain or fatigue

• Collisions with objects, walls, or other participants (Boundaries are set so this is unlikely)

• Removing the risk of VR motion sickness is a priority for every experience designed. Because games are designed for free-roam movement, player’s views are in total synchronization with their real-world movements. This is compared to other VR experiences that move the game world around the player while they remain stationary — which can induce motion sickness and nausea.

I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation.

2. HEALTH & SAFETY CONFIRMATION

I confirm that:

• I do not have any medical conditions that could be aggravated by VR (including epilepsy, seizures, severe motion sickness, heart conditions, or similar issues)

• I am physically able to safely participate

• I will immediately notify staff if I feel unwell

3. FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS

I agree to:

• Follow all staff instructions and safety guidelines

• Use all equipment properly

• Stay within designated play boundaries

I understand failure to follow rules may result in removal without refund.

4. RELEASE OF LIABILITY

I hereby release, waive, and discharge RIDLEY'S ESCAPE ROOMS, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any and all liability for injuries, damages, or losses arising from participation, including those caused by negligence to the fullest extent permitted by law.

5. DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT

I agree to be responsible for any damage caused to VR equipment or property due to misuse, negligence, or failure to follow instructions.

6. MINORS

Participants under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign below. The parent/guardian agrees to all terms on behalf of the minor.

7. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

I have read and understand this agreement and voluntarily agree to its terms.

• Age restriction: 10+. All participants 12 years of age and younger must have at least one adult participating in the VR Experience with them

• Zero tolerance policy for unsafe behavior

• No refunds will be given if your scheduled time is within 24 hours

By signing this document, I acknowledge the inherent risks and voluntarily assume full responsibility for any injury, damage, or loss that may result from my participation. I hereby waive and release the business, its owners, and its staff from any and all liability, past, present, and future, relating to the services provided.
